Through an ONPHA membership, non-profit housing providers support sector-driven advocacy and research, gain access to helpful resources and professional development opportunities, and help build a strong and vibrant sector.
When your organization joins ONPHA, your staff, board members and tenants can:
Stay connected and informed
Build relationships with sector colleagues and stay on top of a changing sector. ONPHA housing members get deeply discounted registration rates for our annual Conference and Trade Show, and unlimited, free registration for our Regional Meetings -- an exclusive networking and development opportunity hosted in more than 14 Ontario communities each spring.
Housing members also gain access to timely, need-to-know updates through our bi-weekly e-Alerts email newsletter. Whether it's a regulatory
change that will affect your work, a new funding opportunity that may benefit you, or a key resource to help save time, ONPHA delivers the information members need in convenient, time-saving formats, so they don't have to go searching for it.
Even the most skilled housing provider staff encounters questions, challenges and unfamiliar territory from time to time. ONPHA’s Member Support Helpline is staffed by sector experts with more than 85 years of combined experience in social housing management, who are here to provide answers, information and advice to ONPHA members. From rent-geared-to-income calculations to property management, tenant relations, governance and procurement, ONPHA’s team has got you covered.
Professional development is vital for staff, but it can be costly to provide the training they need. ONPHA housing members have preferred access to professional development opportunities throughout the year, from free webinars to affordable and deeply discounted online and in-person learning opportunities -- all tailored to the non-profit housing provider context.
Members can save valuable time by accessing helpful guides and handbooks, customizable leases, forms, contracts policies and procedures, and our popular InfoON series, which tackles the problems and challenges housing providers face the most. Housing members receive free, exclusive access or heavily discounted pricing on ONPHA's entire suite of tools and resources.
ONPHA's Best Deals bulk purchasing program turns our sector's buying power into big savings and better services for members. With exclusive deals from trusted suppliers in key areas like administration, energy savings, property management and employee benefits, the program helps members manage their bottom lines in all aspects of their operations.
