ONPHA works with, and for, its members to strengthen Ontario’s non-profit housing sector.

ONPHA’s professional development program has three goals:

  • To develop core competencies in social housing management and governance through web-based certificate courses
  • To provide training to boards of directors to increase knowledge about governance
  • To provide  timely information and training on critical legislation and sound property management practices

We offer learning opportunities in three broad formats:

In-person Courses

In addition to the annual spring session of Introduction to Social Housing, our In-Person Courses offer timely, expert-led classes on issues most relevant to our members.

Online learning

Affordable and innovative, these popular courses includes in-depth learning on rent-geared-to-income and the Residential Tenancies Act, as well as seasonal webinars on issues of the day.

Special events

Annually, we hold Regional Meetings throughout the province for both learning and networking with other members, as well as our signature Annual Conference and Education Day.  Other, one-time events are also offered on current issues.
