Regularly tendering for goods and services is recommended to ensure that your organization is getting the products or services it needs at a fair price. Depending on the good or service and the legislative or operating agreement requirements that govern your non-profit, you may be required to issue a tender. In other cases, issuing a proposal call may be left to management discretion.
It’s important, when preparing a proposal call, to include the right information and organizations details. Doing so will allow proponents to provide an accurate quote and will enable decision makers to compare “apples to apples”. ONPHA has developed template tender packages for common services such as external audit services and property management and several other tools that members will find helpful as they prepare to tender.
