ONPHA’s proposed by-law changes to By-law #12 aimed to:
- include electronic means of attendance in addition to in-person attendance for quorum in meetings of the membership and the supplementary inclusion of electronic means for the receipt of notice or document to members. Sections 5.7 and 15.1.
- guarantee a democratic vote on the board and to ensure that its composition remains reflective of ONPHA’s strategic priority at any point in time. Section 6.3
- include language on conflict of interest. Section 8.
The voting results:
By-law #12: Section 5.10 stipulates that, any questions submitted to the Regular Members, shall be decided by a majority of votes.
Therefore with a Turnout of 29.3% (186) electors out of 635 electors and voting In Favor by 98.3% (178), By-law #12 is duly ratified by the Directors and Members through digital vote on July 24, 2020.
