On April 29, 2021 the province of Ontario introduced Bill 284, COVID-19 Putting Workers First Act. As a result of this Act, employers need to assess their sick leave entitlements to ensure compliance with the introduction of paid sick days in the province due to COVID-19. The program will be in effect until September 25, 2021, when the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB) is set to expire.

Jodi was also the President of the HRPA York Region Chapter from 2011 – 2015 and was a member of the Board of Directors for over ten (10) years. During her term as President, the Chapter was awarded eleven (11) Chapter of Excellence Awards.
