MEMBER UPDATE: March 17, 9:00AM
An update from ONPHA CEO Marlene Coffey regarding COVID-19
The well-being of our ONPHA community is of the utmost importance. We appreciate everyone’s vigilance and desire to keep people and communities safe through the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic.
As you know, Public Health Ontario, along with local health authorities, continue to monitor and act on developments with COVID-19. While the risk to Ontarians remains low, we recognize some members we serve and their tenants may have health concerns.
Together we can reduce the virus’ spread and take steps to protect the people we support. We have created a resource available at http://onpha.on.ca/covid19 to ensure all our members can access accurate information quickly. The webpage will be updated regularly to ensure our members can stay up-to-date on the virus and what it means for you.
To ensure ONPHA’s staff can continue to help you, we are taking internal action to minimize COVID-19 and its impacts by moving to remote work.
While our staff practice social distancing, we remain available to help. To reach us best:
- Email our team at email@example.com.
- Contact an individual team member via e-mail. A full team member e-mail list can be found on our website.
- Phone individual team members. A full phone list is available here. We will return your call within 24 hours.
We urge our members to stay informed. Government agencies and ministries have several useful resources. Visit the Ontario Ministry of Health’s website to access additional resources to share with tenants and employees. It includes information translated into other languages. Several websites also have posters to put up in workspaces:
We are a strong sector. By staying informed, we can adapt and change in order to manage as a community. Remember to stay informed by checking http://onpha.on.ca/covid19 regularly for updates.
All the best,
CEO, Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association
