About this award
The ONPHA Young Changemaker Award recognizes young professionals who have demonstrated a commitment to creating positive change in the community housing sector in Ontario.
This award recognizes an individual (rather than an organization).
Eligibility criteria
The individual must meet the following criteria:
- Be an ONPHA Housing Provider Member.
- Be a young professional (age 35 and under).
- Has made a significant contribution to their organization, community or region.
- Has demonstrated leadership, innovation, and/or community engagement in their work.
- Has demonstrated a continued commitment to non-profit housing and created a lasting legacy benefiting tenants and the community.
2025 Awards

Trevaun Douglas
Trevaun Douglas, Program Coordinator at Toronto Community Housing, has a passion for his community that is evident in his tireless work to address issues like gun violence and mental health. His leadership in founding the Mind on Strength program and his commitment to mentoring young people have made a significant impact on the lives of many. By sharing his story and inspiring others, Trevaun is helping to create a brighter future for his community and beyond.
