The Low-End of Market Rental (LEMR) Housing Monitor
A centralized data tool that maps the location and characteristics of affordable “low-end” market rental housing in six Canadian urban regions. Explore key trends in housing affordability and see how the rental stock has changed over time.
Mapping Ontario’s funding announcements
To reach our goal of 99,000 new units in 10 years, we’ve been tracking funding and policy announcements. Our new tool monitors sector wins and the latest government commitments with the goal to turn these into tangible housing projects.
Canadian Rental Housing Index
The Index is a comprehensive database that compiles rental housing statistics for cities, regions, and provinces across Canada. The interactive map lets you explore rental housing statistics for more than 800 regions and municipalities across the country.
ONPHA’s Solutions Lab
This initiative brought together sector leaders to develop innovative business models and policy recommendations to ensure the sustainability of community housing in Ontario under the new Housing Services Act, 2011.

From 2003 to 2016, we gathered data on the number of households waiting for rent-geared-to-income housing in Ontario. Through this report series, we drew attention to the need for dedicated, long-term funding for new social and affordable rental housing.
